Was Churchill right about the British empire?

Let us get one thing straight, during the Empire the World was at its most peaceful this is a fact. As we know when the sun was setting on the Empire two world wars occurred. The Empire acted as a protector for all. Let us start with India the British used their engineers to build the largest ever irrigation system the World has ever seen, this supplied water to millions of Indians. Secondly the Indian Raja was incorruptible just look at the history books the British rule was fair and honest for the people of India. More importantly the British gave India the English language if they had never i could not see India in the position it is in today. Many people talk about the bad things about the Empire and forget that the great things out weigh them. Naturally many modern movies in China try to paint a bad picture of the Empire because they are jealous.
