Do you think a relationship where two people use drugs recreationally could work out?

Like, two lovers. I keep telling my friend it's not good, do you think two people could have a normal, healthy (apart from the drugs) relationship? And by drugs, I mean LSD, ecstasy, dxm, prescription drugs and weed? I don't see much of a problem with weed. But how do you think the relationship would end? Why? Do you think it's bad? Why or why not? Do you think there could be some pros? (self discovery, spiritual things, mostly involving LSD, etc) and do you think they could still be functional apart from the substance abuse?
