Plateau Sigma (DXM) and God?

I've been talking to people and reading blog experiences of people who use high doses of DXM (Dextromethorphan) and they all say they've met God and astral beings on Plateau Sigma (The peak of drug). Do you think it's a psychological thing where they lose ego or do you think that using of DXM can let one meet God?
