Is Christianity itself one of the root causes of Christian hypocrisy?

Is this a belief system that promotes hypocrisy in the first place. They seem to have turned God from their all powerful master to their buddy, or homeboy. Plus some would argue that they can keep on sinning since Jesus paid for all of their sins. What some would term "The JC Gold card".
