Did Michele Bachman kill her credibility?

Did Michele Bachman kill her credibility? She says she is for small government. She says she is for states rights. Yet she stood on television and said she would overrule states that allowed same sex marriage with a federal law. I am a libertarian. Her hypocrisy offends me. It seems like she is in favor of small government , unless people try to live outside her standards. In which case she is all for a big government shoving her personal morals down our throat. How can I take her claims of "limited government" seriously when she contradicts herself so obviously?
